Sustainable Shirt Project.

This project was given to me the summer before I started my Fashion Degree at De Montfort University. The brief was to turn recycled white mens work shirts into other garments and to only use recycled materials and fastenings. I used two mens shirts, recycled muslin, ribbon and eyelets to create a sustainable dress design and completed a lot of research and sketchbook work to back up the garment.

Sketchbook Pages.

A behind the scenes video of my sketch book pages that accompanied this project. It included the popularisation of white shirts in women’s fashion, the construction of formal mens shirts and information about recycling and sustainable fashion.
