Bootcamp Project

SIMONE ROCHA

“When I'm designing, it has to mean something to me, otherwise, it's just clothes. That's always the joy of it, when things come together, and it means something so personal to me – that, and sharing all the highs and lows with my loved ones.

The second project I undertook in my final year was entitled Bootcamp. We had to choose an image of a catwalk outfit from a recent season and given the picture and name of the designer. From that we had to undertake research to replicate the garments. Every element of the collection, runway, inspiration and construction of the garment had to be researched and documented to create a full and in-depth archive of the look we had chosen finished with the pattern cutting and recreation of all the outfit pieces. This was the most satisfying and fulfilling project that I completed through my journey at university.
